ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To participate in the Top Dolomites Ultra Trail, you must meet the following requirements:

  • 22K – 40K – 50K – 71K – 102K ROUTES: Participants must be at least 18 years old and hold a medical certificate of fitness for competitive sports (Protocol B1) that is valid as of the date of the competition and valid for track and field.
  • 10K COMPETITIVE ROUTE: Participation is permitted for athletes who are at least 16 years of age and hold a medical certificate of fitness for competitive sports (Protocol B1) that is valid as of the competition date and valid for track and field.
  • NON-COMPETITIVE 10K ROUTE: Participation is open to those who are at least 14 years old and hold a valid medical certificate attesting to good health and physical fitnes. Registration for this “non-competitive” event constitutes a handwritten declaration that the participant possesses such a certificate and releases the Organizing Committee from any liability.

You may register for the event as a “MEMBER” if you hold an Italian competitive medical certificate (B1) for track and field and a valid membership card from ACSI, CSAIN, UISP, FIDAL, or CSI, or a valid international track and field membership card (World Athletics/IAAF or ITRA, where applicable).

You may register for the event as a “NON-MEMBER” if you are not a member of any sports club or association. To participate in the event, you must pay, in addition to the registration fee, a surcharge of €5.00 for ACSI membership. Membership will be automatically processed by the Organizing Committee and will be valid solely for the purpose of participating in the event.

IMPORTANT: Foreign athletes who do not possess an Italian Type B1 competitive medical certificate must submit the specific medical certificate form provided by the Organizing Committee—which can be downloaded HERE—completed and signed by their physician.

Foreign medical certificates issued abroad will not be accepted.

Participation in the event implies express and unconditional acceptance of these rules in their entirety, as well as all provisions and instructions issued by the Organizing Committee to participants.

Furthermore, in the event that participants are not ACSI members, they will automatically be registered with the organizing club affiliated with ACSI.

The race bib must be worn on the front of the body (chest or abdomen) and must remain visible at all times throughout the race. It must therefore always be worn over your clothing and may NOT be attached to a backpack or a leg. Sponsor names and logos must not be altered or concealed. The race bib is required for access to aid stations, medical stations, showers, bag drop-off/pick-up areas, the post-race food party, etc.

PRINCIPLE OF SEMI-SELF-SUFFICIENCY

The Top Dolomites Ultra Trail is conducted according to the principle of semi-self-sufficiency, a fundamental aspect of trail running.

Each competitor must be able to manage their own progress independently between two consecutive aid stations, taking care of their own nutrition, hydration, equipment, and safety. They are also required to be able to handle any unforeseen circumstances related to weather conditions, terrain, or their physical condition until reaching the next aid station.

RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

The Top Dolomites Ultra Trail is a trail running event that takes place in the heart of the Brenta Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, traversing alpine trails, forests, pastures, and high-mountain environments.

By registering for the TOP DOLOMITES ULTRA TRAIL event, participants agree to respect the environment and the natural areas they traverse. Specifically:

  • It is strictly forbidden to litter along the course (gel tubes, paper, organic waste, plastic packaging, etc.). At aid stations, there are bins where competitors can sort and dispose of their trash. Race officials will conduct random checks along the course.
  • Participants must keep their trash and packaging with them and dispose of it in the designated trash cans at aid stations.
  • It is mandatory to follow the marked trails without taking shortcuts. Cutting across a trail causes erosion that is harmful to nature.
  • No disposable tableware (cutlery, cups, bowls) will be distributed at the support stations or refreshment areas, in order to reduce plastic consumption by both runners and volunteers.

SIGNAGE AND MARKINGS

The trails are fully marked with arrows of different colors depending on the trail, and reflective markers.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

The organizing committee will provide adequate medical assistance along the course and at the start and finish lines, including fixed stations, fully equipped ambulances, and first-aid volunteers, backed by the 118 emergency service and helicopter rescue if necessary. The emergency number to call will be printed on each race bib; you may call 118 only and exclusively in the event of a serious emergency during the race.
Every runner must assist anyone in danger and notify emergency services.

Runners who voluntarily leave the marked course are no longer the responsibility of the organizers.

TIMING

For the purposes of the final standings of the Ultra Trail Top Dolomites, two different timing methods will be used, depending on the course distance. Each participant will be provided with a device attached directly to their race bib.

The race bib is personal and cannot be exchanged. Competitors who do not pass through the checkpoints will be disqualified.

The chip attached to the race bib must not be removed under any circumstances, or the participant will be excluded from the rankings.

The complete rankings will be published on the website: www.endu.net
