22 km Trail Route – In the Heart of the Brenta Dolomites

A 22 km route that takes you into the heart of the natural landscape of the Brenta Dolomites, through forests, mountain huts, wide alpine meadows and spectacular panoramas. For the most part, the route follows the same trail as the other courses and, from the very first kilometres, offers an authentic journey through the mountains of Val Rendena. The start is in the centre of Pinzolo. After just over 500 metres on flat terrain, the route leaves the town and enters the forest, beginning the climb towards Bandalors. A narrower and scenic trail, winding through the undergrowth and suitable for everyone, continues for approximately 7 km, with 650 metres of elevation gain, until reaching Malga Bandalors, set in a wide open meadow. It is the perfect place to stop, breathe in the mountain air and enjoy the scenery. Here you will find the 1st refreshment station. From the mountain hut, the route continues through the forest for approximately 1.5 km, tackling another 230 metres of elevation gain, until reaching the highest point at 1,830 metres. Shortly after leaving the forest, Malga Movlina appears on the right, surrounded by a beautiful Alpine landscape. From this point, the climb gives way to one of the most panoramic sections of the entire route. A spectacular panoramic ridge opens up before you, offering breathtaking views of the Brenta Dolomites and leading you to the Madonnina, the highest point of the day. From here, the descent begins towards one of the most fascinating places along the route: Lake Valagola. Surrounded by mountains and immersed in an exceptionally beautiful natural setting, the lake is a true corner of paradise in the heart of the Dolomites, and it is also where you will find the 2nd refreshment station. This is the perfect moment to take a break, admire the scenery and recharge your energy before the final short climb towards Circina. Once this last uphill section is completed, the route finally heads back towards Pinzolo. A wide trail with a gentle and constant descent will take you through the landscapes of Val Rendena and back to Pinzolo. The final steps lead you into the heart of the town, to Pinzolo Square, where the warmth of the crowd awaits you, together with the satisfaction of having experienced a day among some of the most spectacular landscapes of the Brenta Dolomites.
